Financial firm in the Chicago area are looking to increase their workforce diversity numbers through a Financial Services Pipeline initiative created in 2013.  According to a report, “blacks, who make up 17 percent of the Chicago metro area’s population, fill 12 percent of the area’s financial services jobs but just 3 percent at the senior management level”  The retention of many black employees is a key issue that all 16 members of the Financial Services Pipeline are looking to address.
