In response to rumors that a lesbian couple would be in the new Finding Dory film, Ellen DeGeneres stated that people shouldn’t assume someone’s gay or lesbian based on physical features. DeGeneres pointed out that “We’re overdue for every film to represent every single person on this planet.”
