In an extreme turn of events, San Francisco has announced that the city will no longer do business with companies headquartered in states with anti-LGBT laws.  The new city bill takes aim at North Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, and their current anti-LGBT legislation.  In a public announcement from the cit’s mayor, Ed Lee stated that “With other states like Georgia on the verge of passing more discriminatory laws, let me be clear that San Francisco taxpayers will not subsidize legally-sanctioned discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in any City or State.”

The great American divide continues to expand as “conservatives” and “liberals” dig deep and hold their lines.  Tension in the nation is at an all time high and these new laws and stances will only add fuel to the fire.  For whatever reason compromise has become a naughty word and only spoken in hush whispers.  Protesting is the new negotiating tactic with zero room for discussion.  Although businesses may not see much pain, it is time for both sides to become more practical in their dealings.
