Facebook easily comes in first when it comes to small business marketing. According to a recent report by SCORE, 70% of businesses utilize Facebook’s services in comparison to Twitter (38%) and Linkedin (37%). While a little under half of small firms use social media for marketing purposes, others use it for discount information, consumer feedback, and to simply receive likes from fans.
Social media is an excellent resource for companies with a B2C business model. For corporations doing business with other organizations, social media is not as necessary. Unfortunately for those businesses there is no all encompassing website to promote and connect with potential clients. Still social media for organizations who understand it, can be a huge resource for growing a company. Businesses utilizing these services will continue to grow.
