Designers Carol Lim and Humberto Leon have always showcased the pivotal moments in fashion. Their new collection looks to continue their stylish trend. Cordelia Tai from The Fashion Spot provides more detail on the new Kenzo & H&M collection.
Lim and Leon’s new collection highlights diversity. The theme is showcased throughout the cast of models and clothing line. The models consist of, “writer and activist Amy Sall, shutterbug Youngjun Koo, artist and DJ Juliana Huxtable (yet another transgender woman killing it in the entertainment industry), musician and performance artist Oko Ebombo, LOVE magazine editor Harriet Verney, makeup artist Isamaya Ffrench, musician Anna of the North, model and rapper Le1f and professional models Mae Lapres, Hao Liu, Selena Forrest, Tom Gaskin, Julia Banas and Pierre Painchaud.”
The fashion itself is heavily influenced by traditional Zhostovo-style, Tehuana, and many more. Different is not ugly nor is it weird and the Kenzo X H&M collection highlights that statement. Fashion represents culture and personality and inspires everyone when reflecting “diversity at its finest”
