According to a report released by the “Financial Conduct Authority via a Freedom of Information request by executive search firm DHR International”, more women are in senior level positions at private equity groups and hedge funds. An estimated one in eight senior level positions are occupied by females in the UK, up from one in ten last year.
As covered on this website, multiple studies have proven the benefit of a diverse workforce and it seems that the UK is improving its diversity stake as well. The “DHR’s study shows that in 2015, 405 partners at regulated firms were women, out of 3,509. In 2014, there were 378 female partners out of 3,666.”
Hopefully this improvement is a sign of more things to come and even better progress is just around the corner. Diversity can lead to more profits if people are willing to invest in the idea.
