Uncertainty, and Optimism are the two best words to describe the state of small business. The National Federation of Independent Business recently released reports indicating that the small business optimism index has increased from 94.1 in September to 94.9 in October. With the uncertainty of who will win Tuesday night’s election, small businesses are unaware of the coming changes and new policies. Many business owners are waiting on the election results to determine there next plan of action. But there may be light at the end of the tunnel which leads to the optimistic mindset of many small business owners. According to Austen Hufford from the Wall Street Journal, “Many small-business owners have struggled to fill open positions, a sign that the economy is nearing full employment.”
