As the congratulatory statements stream in, General Electric’s CEO offered his words to the newly elected President of the United States. According the Reuters, the CEO “said on Wednesday the company will work with president-elect Donald Trump and the new Congress, but drew distinctions between the company’s values and some of Trump’s divisive campaign rhetoric.”
“We support people of all races, genders and sexual orientations,” he said. “We believe in the importance of globalization and investment.”
The last comment is extremely interesting as President Trump is believed to support a more scaled back version of the American economy, restricting global markets from generating too much revenue within America.
