Paysa is a career statistics company that recently analyzed multiple cities to create it’s ranking of the most diverse cities in tech.  In addition to the rankings, Paysa also found a “substantial correlation” between corporations with low diversity numbers and low annual pay.  An interesting connection to say the least as we look at the top cities for IT diversity:

  1. El Paso, Texas: The city has a 37% white workforce and an average yearly salary of $91,734
  2. Miami, Florida:  The city has a 38% white workforce and an average yearly salary of $120,675
  3. Fremont, California:  The city has a 39% white workforce and an average yearly salary of $151,820
  4. Milpitas, California:  The city has a 43% white workforce and an average yearly salary of $165,740
  5. Edison, New Jersey:  The city has a 44% white workforce and an average yearly salary of $117,507
