MGM Resorts International has been named one of Black Enterprises’ “Best Companies for Diversity” for the 10th straight year.  According to Just Means, “the 40 companies featured in the publication’s special report demonstrate a commitment to diversity in one or more of four key areas:"

  1. Board of Directors
  2. Employment

  4. Supplier diversity

In addition, of those 40 companies selected, MGM Resorts along with McDonald’s Corp., IBM Corp. and Exelon, were the only organizations that "demonstrated significant strengths in the four areas surveyed,” according to Black Enterprise.

The list was compiled from surveys sent to 1,000 of the largest publicly traded corporations in the world with “significant U.S. operations…The complete report, including methodology and selection criteria, is available in the November 2016 issue of BE.”

MGM Resorts continues to be a leader in diversity and inclusion as “an employer of choice with robust talent recruitment and development initiatives.”  Currently the company’s workforce is 66% minority and almost 51% female.  "Almost 42% of our management ranks are minority; almost 44% of our managers are women.“  In 2015, the company spent $139 million with diverse owned (including women) businesses
