The National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) selected PG&E as their 2016 Corporation of the Year award.  Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) was honored last month for their support and commitment “…to ensuring fairness and equal opportunity for LGBT suppliers, customers and employees.”   PG&E have been championing LGBT rights and initiatives for years and have a myriad of accomplishments including:

  1. In 2012, PG&E was the first utility company to pursue LGBT business for its supply chain
  2. In 2015, PG&E played host to the first stop on a nationwide LGBT business builder
  3. In 2015, PG&E contributed $250,000 to the San Francisco based National Center for Lesbian Rights
  4. In 2016, PG&E’s PrideNetwork, one of the first LGBT employee resource groups in the nation, celebrated its 30 year anniversary.

We would like to congratulate PG&E for their recent award from NGLCC and commend them on their continued commitment toward equal rights and fairness for all.
