New Veteran eMarketplace could be a game changer for Veteran businesses

The National Veterans Business Development Council (NVBDC) has partnered with eProcurement Services (ePS) to offer an eMarketplace solution for veteran businesses looking to connect with large corporations.  According to a recent press release “the NVBDC eMarketplace is an on-line shopping environment that will bring together Corporations and NVBDC-certified Veteran suppliers into a customized one-stop shopping experience for Veteran Owned Business purchases.”

Gaining support from major corporations including Metlife, General Motors, and AT&T, the NVBDC continues its support of veteran businesses throughout the nation.   Currently veterans start businesses at a higher rate than non military serving individuals.  Unfortunately not much support is given to our country’s finest.  Organizations like the NVBDC are making strides in helping bridge the gap between small veteran businesses and mid to large scale companies looking to contract with them.  As the opportunities for veterans increases, technology like the eMarketplace should be a great starting point for veteran entrepreneurs.
