Congratulations to Linda McMahon for being confirmed as the next head of the Small Business Administration.  This article is a review of last week’s confirmation hearing.

As Linda McMahon underwent her vetting process for the head of the Small Business Administration, she made one thing loud and clear…she is a job creator. During the confirmation hearing, McMahon informed Senate members that she and her husband built the World Wrestling Entertainment company from scratch into a multi-million dollar company. “Like all small-business owners, I know what it’s like to take a risk on an idea, manage cash flow, navigate regulations and tax laws, and create jobs,” she said

Many Republicans and even Democrats agreed that McMahon would be a good candidate to head the Small Business Administration and would provide sound advice to President Donald Trump. Senator Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire questioned whether McMahon would merge the SBA within the Commerce Department since she advocated during her Senate run in 2012 for reducing duplicate government programs. McMahon confirmed she would not do such a thing. “I am a firm believer that SBA needs to be a stand-alone agency,” McMahon said.
