The third annual EO-Houston Veterans Business Battle ended with over $600,000 in investment dollars being extended to veteran-owned businesses. Additional investments are also currently in the works. Over its three year period the Veterans Business Battle has seen an estimated $2.4 million in funding go towards veteran businesses participating in the battle.
In addition to the business pitch, the “two-day event included learning sessions about financing, marketing and entrepreneurship as well as networking with investors and business leaders.”
There are very few funding opportunities exclusively for entrepreneurs with military backgrounds but the EO-Houston Business Battle is by far the premier option. It seems as if the annual battle gets bigger and bigger and I couldn’t be happier. More opportunities need to be extended to America’s finest individuals and hopefully the EO-Houston Battle
can expand to other cities in the near future.
