Coca-Cola’s Taste the Feeling commercial champions diversity and inclusion

Have you seen the new Coca-Cola commercial?  Well if not you should check it out.

The new coke ad is unlike any commercial being shown today.  While some are celebrating it as a win for diversity, others are criticizing its necessity.

The commercial shows a brother and sister competing to impress the family’s pool boy while both ultimately lose to their mom. The controversy of the commercial stems from the fact that a man is looking to gain the affection of another man.

While the controversy gains momentum, the commercial itself touches on Coca-Cola’s brand value surrounding diversity and inclusion. Rodolfo Echeverria, Vice President of Global Creative at Coca-Cola, commented on the company’s message stating “As a global company, we strive for diversity, inclusion and equality in our business and support these rights in society and through our work.”
