Uber was recently hit with sexism allegations concerning their work environment. Unfortunately for the company, whether it’s a lack of diversity, the sexual harassment allegations or sexism, negative stories seem to continue to plague the tech giant. Uber CEO Travis Kalanick is now stepping in after its most recent accusations of sexism with plans on expanding its diversity and inclusion team. Job listings for the new positions were posted on LinkedIn and the Uber’s website, including Diversity and Inclusion Manager, Coordinator, and Business Partner.
This past Friday, Uber released a statement following the announcement of the new positions stating the following:
“Uber’s Global Diversity & Inclusion team is passionate about ensuring that we are prioritizing the vast array of differences that drives our innovation and expanding a culture of inclusion that helps to celebrate those differences.”
The overall goal of the expansion will be to enhance the company initiatives in the fields of diversity, retention, and inclusion.
