On July 19th, ECRM will host a one day Supplier Diversity Summit in connection with Walgreens. The diversity event will focus on finding and promoting diverse suppliers within the consumer packaged goods industry. Chicago will play host to the upcoming event where retailers will meet with, “diverse-owned suppliers in the health-and-wellness, beauty and personal care, competitive convenience and OTC/advanced care categories.”
ECRM will present two webcast presentations during the Summit where representatives from Walgreens will highlight their company’s diversity program and expectations. Walgreens also plans to meet with at least 17 suppliers during the event.
Walgreens director of supplier diversity Rona Fourte spoke about the importance of the Summit and the company’s excitement. “The ECRM Diversity Summit builds on this commitment and we look forward to meeting suppliers with new innovative offerings to enhance the selection of items that our customers value as we champion everyone’s right to be happy and healthy.”
