During the 2017 Global Citizen Festival in New York, EY along with WEConnect International announced a commitment to purchase $100 million with women-owned businesses.  The initiative is part of EY’s Women. Fast forward campaign and will take place over the next 3 years.  According to an EY press release the Women. Fast forward program began in 2015 with the goal of “championing the advancement of women in business by introducing and supporting a number of global initiatives in education, entrepreneurship, employment, leadership and sport. It is estimated that women-owned businesses currently receive less than 1% of the global purchasing spend by large corporations and governments.”

The new commitment gives a huge boost to the supplier diversity team and we at Supplierty News couldn’t be happier.  To learn more about how to do business with EY, check out our video below.
