ShearShare recently won $100K in the “Diversity & Inclusion Investment Challenge presented by Capital Factory in partnership with the DEC (the Dallas Entrepreneur Center), DivInc out of Austin, and Perot Jain, LP out of Dallas.”  ShearShare is an app that helps salons and barbershops fill unused seats and stations with independent stylists.  The platform is currently “operating in 375 cities and 11 countries and have a strategic partnership with L’Oreal, the world’s largest beauty brand.”

The competition was a rigourus one and included a five-minute pitch in front of a large group of partners, 10 minutes of Q&A, and a 20-minute one-on-one session “with partners to give them a deeper dive into their businesses.”  The competition focused on Dallas startups and selected six finalists.
