Small businesses are on pace to spend an estimated $602 billion on IT services as reported by the IDC.  This massive estimate would account for more than 30 percent of small business spending totals in America.  With the wave of new cyber threats and growing technological advances, small businesses have to keep up in order to meet demands. The IDC report also pointed out that the small business IT expense will cover needed items such as personal computing devices, peripherals, and mobile phones.

It is estimated that small business spending will be driven by firms under 1000 employees through the year 2021. Ray Boogs, VP of SMB Research at IDC, spoke about the recent news. “SMBs around the world are increasingly interested in investing in resources to improve employee productivity and improve their competitive positions. While SMBs, especially smaller ones, have immediate tactical needs to sharpen performance, they are also looking to coordinate resources in a meaningful way. For many this will be an important step in their digital transformation.”
