In honor of the Delta Air Lines’ commitment to diversity and women owned business, the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council named Delta the Top Corporation for Women Business Enterprises. The Atlanta based airline spends an estimated $700 million annually with more than 300 women-owned business.
During the month of March, Delta was also named to the 2018 Honor roll by Companies That Care for a third year in a row. Joanne Smith, Delta’s executive vice president and chief human resources officer spoke about the recent honor and their commitment to diversity. “Caring for others has been a big part of the Delta difference ever since the company was founded. In addition, Delta believes strongly in giving back to the communities where we live, work and serve. As a company, we are committed to giving back 1% of net income each year to the community.”
