In a recent Press Release, T-Mobile became the latest corporate sponsor to join the National Veterans Business Development Council (NVBDC). The NVBDC is a third party certifying agency for veteran owned businesses certifying companies as official Service Disabled and Veteran Owned Businesses (SD/VOBs). T-Mobile joins a growing list of corporations supporting veteran owned businesses including AT&T, General Motors, Ford, JP Morgan Chase & Co., Facebook , Google, Microsoft, and Apple to name a few.
The NVBDC became a national recognized certifying body by the Billion Dollar Roundtable in 2017, an organization that represents corporations that spend at least $1 billion with diverse suppliers. Since then the certifying organizations has ramped up its partnerships along with its veteran representation. “Veteran focused Diversity Spending Programs are an $80 billion dollar market in the United States.”
Being the latest corporate sponsor to join its ranks, T-Mobile will look to connect with more veteran owned firms within the NVBDC. According to T-Mobile, ‘We want to break down barriers and build opportunities in their place.
