According to a recent news post, Penn State Procurement Services will host “a Supplier Diversity Trade Fair from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, at the Bryce Jordan Center on the University Park campus.” The event is looking to target suppliers that identify as woman-owned, minority-owned, and veteran-owned.
Currently, the trade fair is expected to house 40 to 50 diverse vendors that represent multiple commodity groups “including furniture, advertising, promotional, scientific, IT, consulting, office supplies, janitorial, staffing, electrical, audio-visual, novelties, HVAC, general contracting, precision machining, food service, and security systems.” If you are a business that is interested in learning more about opportunities with Penn State within the procurement areas of “Centralized Purchasing, Housing and Foods Purchasing, Applied Research Lab Purchasing, and Office of Physical Plant’s Design and Construction”, make sure to attend the fair. In addition Penn State General Stores and Purchasing Services (eBuy) will be in attendance as well.
