The Ignite Buffalo program will be awarding $1 million in grants to small businesses in the eight counties of Western New York. Facebook, 43North, and M&T Bank partnered together to create the new program that plans to bolster small businesses financially but also offer guidance and mentorship opportunities. The program will also host, “…mentorship sessions over a 12-month period to learn about everything from access to capital to sharpening their digital skills.” Non-grant winners will be allowed to attend the mentorship session as well.

To be eligible for the grants, applicants must be located within the eight counties of Western New York along with half of its employees and CEO or founder. Furthermore, companies must also have an existing customer base and stream of revenue. The grants will be worth between $25,000 and $100,000.
