Last month, Bob Evans Farms announced it was hosting its second annual “Our Farm Salutes” program in an effort to support veteran entrepreneurs. The program will offer $25,000 grants to three veteran owned businesses “as well as an all-expenses-paid, three-day trip for two to New York City for a half-day mentoring session with businessman Daymond John.”
Last year, grant winners also received the honor of having their information displayed on “Bob Evans Farms product packaging throughout the summer. Each winner is highlighted on the back of the product packaging, including a photo and brief description of their business.”
Applications for this year’s contest opened May 22nd and will run through July 29th. If you’re a veteran owned business that is looking to apply, you can register at www.ourfarmsalutes.com.
In order to have their business considered, veteran entrepreneurs are required to submit a plan demonstrating a solid business concept, multimedia assets in a video format, and a personal essay about their passion for their business.
