Last month, the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) announced that Comcast will act as the Corporate Chair for the 2018 USHCC National Convention in Philadelphia this September. According to the Press Release, Comcast has continued “to demonstrate a strong commitment to increasing the number of Hispanic-owned businesses by providing platforms that tell diverse stories and highlight the accomplishments of our members.” The media company has spent over $16 billion with diverse suppliers since 2010 and has supported more than 3,000 diverse businesses over the past year alone.
Comcast is “the largest supplier of independent Latino programming” and “has been at the forefront in providing premiere Spanish and English-language programming to the Hispanic community.”
