ADP, an American provider of human resources management software and services that tracks employee payroll has released a report showing positive small business growth in hiring.  For the month of July, small businesses added 52,000 jobs, a a 68% increase from June’s total of 31,000.  ADP defines small businesses as companies with 49 employees or less.

In addition to the strong hiring number, ADP also released the average job hiring amount for 2018 year to date which sits at 48,000.  A solid number when including a high range of 64,000 to 28,000 job hiring this year.

Despite the strong economy and job growth, small business hiring has weakened versus 2017, when the average jobs added up to this point averaged at around 71,000 or 32% decrease.
