The Small Business Administration (SBA) recently announced new low interest federal loans aimed to “offset farmers’ and ranchers’ revenue losses as a result of the 2018 season freeze.”  Due to the freezing temperatures Northern California experience this winter, crop damage resulted, hitting the industry hard.  The announcement of the low interest federal disaster loans will be used to support farmers affected by this.

The loans will be “offered for businesses in Butte, Glenn, Mendocino, Plumas, Shasta, Trinity and Tehama counties.”  Those who qualify could be eligible for up to $2 million USD in aid.

For those companies that may qualify for these loans the deadline to apply is March 18, 2019.
