Why?

The program consists of the Small, Women-Owned/Minority-Owned and Micro Businesses (SWaM-O) and Service Disabled Veterans (VBE) and Employment Service Organization (ESO).  As of now the Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity’s does not include the full list of minority-owned businesses therefore the city’s office of economic development and the procurement and risk management division are working with the Minority Business Task Force to fix this problem.
