Over the past few years, workplace diversity has garnered more and more support from Americans. Many studies have revealed that Millennials consider diversity in the workplace to be a high priority when deciding what company to work for.

As the demographic shift of the nation moves from white to non-white, representation within each corporation begins to matter more and more.

According to Comparably.com, which lists the best companies for diversity based on compensation, culture, and career monitoring, Google, Costco, and Netflix are among the best large companies in the nation. “Diversity was defined as “how non-caucasian employees rate their workplace overall” for the survey, Comparably CEO Jason Nazar said. While a lot of the companies on the list are led by diverse leaders, Nazar said that an overall focus on diversity helped earn companies top marks.”

Below is a list of ten for both large (companies with more than 500 employees) and small / medium (companies with less than 500 employees) organizations that are best in class when it comes to diversity. It’s interesting to note that for small / medium businesses, 52% are from California based companies. Please note that the list is given in alphabetical order and that this is not the full list.
