The news of a slowing economy and market uncertainties have not dampened the spirits of small business owners.
In fact, 73% of small business owners are optimistic that the policies of the Trump administration will propel business growth over the next two years.
In response to the government shutdown, surprisingly more than 62% of respondents said the shutdown had no impact whatsoever on their small business.
This data comes from the exclusive survey conducted by Business.com. More details of the survey results are in the “Business.com Survey Reflects Support for Trump Administration Policies published February 6th.
More than 1,700 small business owners participated in the survey where 64% believe that they are top-of-mind in the Trump administration. Most small business owners see better days ahead as 52.5% are looking to expand and hire more staff in the next year.
The survey results also showed favorable reactions to Trump’s proposed tax reforms policy, association health plans, trade, and tariffs strategies. The respondents want immigration reform to be prioritized followed by healthcare, tax and trade policy.
Business.com CEO Doug Llewellyn aptly said, “It is clear not only from our compelling survey results but among the vibrant conversations within our active small business community, that main street business sentiment is strong. As Trump policies free up capital for small business expansion, we will continue to see optimism from this influential and thriving sector of our economy.”
