Virginia-based small business lending platform StreetShares plans to offer credit cards for the 2.5 million veteran entrepreneurs in the U.S. in the second quarter of 2019. The company believes that a credit card can help business owners in paying for their daily expenses.

A part of the proceeds from every card will be used to support the educational and training programs for veterans and military spouse business owners.

According to StreetShares co-founder and CEO Mark Rockefeller, their mission is to become the trusted financial solutions provider for veterans and their communities. The company is only one of a few peer-to-peer lending platforms in the U.S. that allow unaccredited investors to provide small business loans.
