The National Hispanic Corporate Council (NHCC) will hold its 2019 Annual Meeting in Columbus, Ohio on May 16. The event themed “Technology Influencers: A Look at Virtual and Digital Trends in Corporate America” aims to highlight corporate best practices in executive leadership, community relations, supplier diversity, HR/talent and marketing.
Subject matter experts will discuss how diverse and inclusive companies have a better chance to compete for the U.S. Hispanic consumer and talent market. There will also be marketplace and workplace sessions.
There are benefits for Fortune 1000 companies to consider the hiring of Latino talents and marketing to Latino consumers. According to the Census Bureau, there are 395,000 Hispanics in Ohio with a median age of 25. Nationally, millennial and Gen Z Hispanics account for more than half of the U.S. population and 36% of them are active social media users.
