Electric utility company PSEG Long Island’s spending with diverse suppliers in 2018 increased by more than 8% which totaled more than $52 million. The company made this announcement during its supplier diversity procurement fair in Uniondale.
PSEG increased its investments to improve the electrical infrastructure in Long Island. The initiative created jobs for local workers and the company spent more than $12 million with women- and minority-owned businesses.
According to PSEG Long Island president and COO Dan Eichhorn, they are committed to inclusion and diversity throughout the company. During the event PSEG also recognized Pontoon with the 2018 Prime Supplier Diversity Utilization Award and IPC Contracting with the 2018 Diverse Supplier Excellence Award.
