Data analytics and measurement firm Nielsen has appointed Sandra Sims-Williams as its Senior Vice President of Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) effective January 2020. She will oversee the D&I strategies in the Nielsen Global Media and Nielsen Global Connect units of the company. Sims-Williams will the reporting directly to CEO David Kenny.
According to Kenny, fostering a diverse and inclusive culture is the guiding force of Nielsen and they are excited to have Sims-Williams join their executive leadership team. He highlighted Sims-Williams’ experience in linking D&I strategies with corporate goals and driving cross-functionality.
Sims-Williams has extensive experience in supplier diversity, diverse leadership development, multicultural talent acquisition and retention programming. In 2019, she was included in SAVOY Magazine’s list of Most Influential Women and in Black Enterprise’s list of Top Corporate Executives. She has previously served as chief diversity officer of Publicis Groupe.
