In a recent E Awards Gala, the Dallas/Fort Worth Minority Supplier Diversity Council (D/FW MSDC) recognized the $7 billion Mega Deals entered into by PepsiCo, the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) and AT&T with their minority business partners.

The Mega Deals award was created in 2008 to showcase the growth of minority business capacity and the extent of solutions and services they can provide to Buying Entity Members. Mega Deals are defined as any contract between a D/FW MSDC-certified minority business enterprise (MBE) and a Buying Entity Member worth at least $25 million.

According to D/FW MSDC president and CEO Margo J. Posey, they are committed to helping build sustainable MBEs capable of meeting the needs of Buying Entity Members.

In the Mega Deals, DART’s partner was Omega Contracting. PepsiCo’s partners were Universal Concepts and Group O. AT&T had several partners including Argent Associates, World Wide Technology and LogistiCorp Wholesale Trade LLC.
