Amazon Prime Day is a perfect opportunity for Amazon Prime members not only to get discounted deals but more importantly to support America’s small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs).
One way to do this is to shop from the Storefronts Deals page. Amazon Storefronts was opened only last year but it already features more than a million products from around 20,000 American SMBs. Searching for items in the Storefronts page will only show results from small businesses.
Alex Shvarts, CTO of small business funding platform FundKite, suggests visiting the Amazon Launchpad to search for items and deals from emerging and small brands. This method can narrow down shoppers’ choices and ensure that they are supporting SMBs. Shoppers can also check the background and the website of the company they are buying from.
