The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is seeking public comments on a proposed rule for determining which companies will be allowed access to surplus federal government properties through the Federal Surplus Personal Property Donation Program managed by the General Services Administration.

The proposed rule will allow veteran-owned companies, including those in Puerto Rico and other disaster areas, to participate in the GSA surplus personal property program. Surplus properties include heavy construction equipment, vehicles, tools, office equipment, computers and other properties except for real property. Interested parties may send their comments to www.regulations.gov or to Brenda Fernandez of the SBA’s Office of Policy, Planning and Liaison at brenda.fernandez@sba.gov.
