Amazon is accepting applications to its Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program. It is open to all veterans with or without logistical experience. Interested parties may visit amazon.com/DSP-VA. The company prefers veterans because of their leadership skills, drive and mission-first attitude. Around a third of its DSPs are veterans.
The DSP program empowers veterans to build their own small delivery businesses. These Amazon partners usually grow to have between 40-100 employees and a fleet of delivery vehicles. Since the program was launched in 2018, Amazon has helped more than 800 entrepreneurs who employed more than 75,000 drivers.
The e-commerce giant has committed $5 million to fund the startup costs for veterans and offers $10,000 reimbursements to qualified candidates. Amazon will also provide hands-on training, on-demand support, insurance and access to branded vans and uniforms.
