The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) has launched an executive education program to support women-owned businesses sponsored by Wells Fargo.

The virtual training will be conducted in collaboration with the Women’s Business Development Center. It will take place in May 2020 and the inaugural cohort will include WBENC-certified women’s business enterprises from the Midwest. The weekly virtual sessions will cover immediate business concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic and long-term business planning.

According to WBENC president and CEO Pamela Prince-Eason, the launch of the program marks a continued investment from Wells Fargo in breaking down barriers for women business owners. For Wells Fargo, senior vice president and head of supplier diversity Regina Hayward said they recognize the need to provide technical assistance and access to resources to help women-owned businesses retool and recover.
