Investor and entrepreneur Daymond John joined forces with Lowe’s for the “Making it…With Lowe’s” initiative that aims to provide minority-owned small businesses an opportunity to have their products featured in Lowe’s stores and website. He hopes millions for small and minority business owners will apply for the program.

The application is open until September 25. From all the qualified applicants, five finalists will be selected. They will be mentored by John before pitching directly to Lowe’s top executives including CEO Marvin Ellison. According to Ellison, the program was inspired by the success of the company’s grant program for minority-owned businesses impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. He said that the program received more than 800,000 applications.
