ViacomCBS has expanded its “no diversity, no commission” policy, which was launched in the UK in July, to its entire organization that spans 180 countries. It was designed to improve diversity on-screen and behind-the-scene and requires compliance with diversity guidelines before approval of budgets and productions.

David Lynn, CEO of ViacomCBS Networks International, said the measure would ensure that they reflect their audience and elevate new diverse creative stories. He is expecting to create impactful, sustainable change through the power of their networks, platforms, partnerships and brands. ViacomCBS Networks International will also work to promote underrepresented cultures for its kids, youth and entertainment brands. It has allocated 25% of its budget to the development of projects by Black Indigenous People of Color creators and 30% to the production of stories about underrepresented groups in Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
