Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) is a publicly traded diversified energy company. Its operating subsidiaries are: PSEG Power, Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G) and PSEG Long Island.

Public Service Enterprise Group Inc. (PSEG) recently announced the first batch of graduates of its six-month Supplier Diversity Mentorship program. The program aims to remove barriers and facilitate access to opportunities to bid on projects for PSEG and other large organizations. It is part of PSEG’s commitment to increase its business with diverse suppliers to at least 30% by 2023.

This year’s graduates are from Bush Electrical Services, J&L Electrical and Communications, Martinez Associates Inc. and WillDog Property Preservation & Management. Each company is now eligible to qualify and receive contracts as a Tier 1 or 2 PSEG supplier. They will also receive ongoing mentorship from leaders of PSEG and PSEG prime suppliers.

PSEG president and chief operating officer Kim Hanemann said the program is a model for developing the skills of diverse suppliers and preparing them to support OSEG and other organizations in New Jersey and beyond. Kevin Lyons of Rutgers Business School lauded PSEG’s investments in suppliers that they are not even in business with yet.
