Google spent nearly $1.5 billion with certified diverse-owned businesses in 2021, which qualifies it to join the exclusive Billion Dollar Roundtable (BDR). The BDR will recognize Google at a formal induction ceremony at its annual summit in New Jersey.

According to Google vice president of global procurement Jennifer Moceri, the company is committed to creating opportunities that have a meaningful impact on diverse communities. Its teams have also been working to bring Google’s supplier diversity investment and commitments to life, from strategic alliances to easier access to working capital.

BDR Chairman Shelley Stewart Jr. said Google achieving membership in the Billion Dollar Roundtable presents a significant opportunity for accelerating supplier diversity practices. Google’s participation in the BDR will open up new supply chain possibilities for diverse suppliers since it is one of the world’s iconic brands and a technology leader in innovative products, services and platforms used by millions.
