The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will award $400,000 to 12 organizations that provide critical training and counseling to existing and aspiring veteran small business owners. These include private organizations, nonprofit organizations, private sector firms, colleges and universities, and state, local or tribal governmental agencies.
The grant recipients will use the funding to provide training to transition service members and military members through the Boots to Business entrepreneurship training program. They will also provide counseling, financial skill development, technical assistance, mentoring services and comprehensive business assessments.
